At KMCT IETM, the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program provides comprehensive training in computer science and applications. The MCA Regular program under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, has an annual intake of 60 students. The two year full time post graduate course encompasses 4 semesters, with the fourth semester being completely dedicated for an industrial project. The curriculum covers advanced topics like software development, data analytics, and system design, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Students gain hands-on experience through labs, projects, and industry collaborations. The program aims to prepare graduates for successful careers in IT and software development, fostering innovation and expertise in the evolving tech landscape. The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program under the Kerala Technological University (KTU) offers advanced education in computer science and applications. It is a two-year course designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and skills in areas such as software development, database management, and system analysis. The program focuses on practical and theoretical aspects of computing, including emerging technologies and industry trends. With a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of the IT industry, MCA graduates from KTU are well-prepared for careers in software engineering, IT management, and research. The course emphasizes hands-on experience, research, and project work.

Educational Qualification:

  • A Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline.
  • Minimum aggregate percentage (e.g., 50% or 45% for reserved categories).
  • Some universities required mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level.
  • BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) degrees were often accepted with no additional math requirement at the 10+2 level.
  • KTU offers bridge courses for students lacking a background in mathematics.
  • The LBS Centre for Science and Technology conducts the Kerala MCA Entrance Examination, and this exam is the primary gateway for MCA admissions in most colleges under KTU.
